Software-based full system control exploits are known and publicly available for system versions up to and including 11.14.0-46, while ntrboothax allows for ARM9 arbitrary code execution on any 3DS-family console regardless of system firmware version (or even its presence at all).

2016년 10월 24일 닌텐도가 시스템 업데이트 11.2.0-35를 릴리즈하였다.
2016년 10월 4일 VVVVVV 유럽 버전의 업데이트가 마지막으로 릴리즈되었다. (타이틀이 e숍 버전 목록에 다시 추가되었다) 10월 11일에 북미 버전도 마찬가지로 업데이트되었다. (그러나 이 타이틀은 이미 버전 목록에 추가되어 있었다)
2016년 9월 22일 Shiny Quagsire가 11.1.0-34를 지원하는 supermysterychunkhax의 업데이트를 릴리즈했다.
